Eco-friendly Premium Solutions for Soap Packaging

The packaging is a crucially important aspect of product branding. When companies make or acquire products like soaps packaging, they may overlook the environmental factor. The studies on the environment and the destructive effects of human inorganic wastes show some scary facts and figures. We are on the verge of collapse as a human race as we are still unable to comprehend the extent we have reached to have a luxurious and lavish life.

Many people have a perception that if you have if you want a clean environment to live and breathe in, you need to eradicate the involvement of premium packaging. It is not entirely true. As a soap manufacturer, you can have a green soap packaging without sacrificing too much of the flavor in their packaging.

Eco-friendly Packaging in Soaps

When you are a soap manufacturer, you have to keep a close watch on the environment concerning your packaging. If you have plastic packaging, then consider changing it. The plastic packaging of soap is very rare, but it is a fact that plastic is on top of the list when it comes to the impact of humans on the eco-system of the planet. A study shows that the plastic that we dispose of in the waters will be more by weight in 2050 than fish.

There is an interesting analogy that relates the human fever or flu with the state of environmental pollution on the planet. If the flu undergoes treatment in a human specimen on time, it will die. In other words, the microorganism will kill the host. Similarly, the planet Earth is the host, and human beings are the microorganism, and pollution is the flu caused by humans. If this infection goes untreated within a time frame, the humans (microorganisms) will kill the host (planet Earth) and die with it.

It is painful to accept, but it is reality. Packaging soap with reusable or recyclable packaging is an excellent way to contribute your concern. And, believe it or not, the eco-friendliness in packaging and the product is a good selling factor.

How Are Soaps Attacking the Environment?

When we talk about environmental pollution, we talk about the atmosphere and global warming. One massive resource of the planet is water. 70% of the globe consists of water. It is quite right, but the water that is good for drinking, bathing, and cleansing is around 2.5%. It is the water that is fresh, and the rest of the water is saline and part of the oceans. Only 1% of the water is accessible as the rest of the freshwater is locked in glaciers and ice.

When we use soap in any form like washing hands, bathing, or washing clothes (with detergents which also a type soap), the water is considered as contaminated if you do not use an organic soap that is biodegradable. Biodegradable soap is the one that loses all its properties to break surface tension within 28 days. Otherwise, the soap is considered contaminating the environment. Make sure that when you buy soap, make sure you see the word biodegradable written on the soap box.

The chemicals in a soap destroy the surface tension in the water. It is something that we humans may not notice during bathing and cleansing because we require that chemical mechanism to make our chores more manageable.

The soap should never be directly used in a natural water reservoir like a lake or a stream because when the destroys the surface tension of the water, the life in that water is affected. The surface tension is essential for water striding insects on the water surface. The lack of surface tension also drastically reduces the oxygen levels of the natural water reservoirs, affecting the life in deep that thrives on oxygen in the water like fish. All this can disturb the ecological balance of the lake or the stream where the soap usage is common.

Why Having a Premium Packaging is a Must?

For any product like soap, we should have the best possible packaging. The reason being that packaging is something that sells the product. It is called the silent salesman. Soap is being made and used for thousands of years, and it is not hard to imagine how competition there may exist in this market. The soap is very easy to make, and you can have a soap factory in your backyard. Many big soap bands were startups in homes.

When your soap has a premium packaging, it will help your soap to sell more. The reason being that when a shopper looks at shelves filled with soaps in a market or a shop. Every brand there is trying to get the attention of the consumer. You mostly have seven seconds to make an impression on the prospect. People buy products for an emotional reason, and they justify it with logic after they have bought it. And packaging plays a crucial role in helping them to choose the right product.

A premium packaging is so important that many companies, including soap manufacturers who let out tones of soap with beautiful packaging boxes on wholesale, spend more effort, money, and resources on soaps than they spend on the product inside the packaging. Of course, the product quality counts also.

Studies conducted in many top marketing research institutions and academia have found that packaging helps people to buy products. The consumer prefers the packaging that is good looking. At the same time, when a product packaging sucks, sells less, or does not sell at all. Packaging sells, build brands, enterprises; it should also deliver its promises whether you have Kraft churning out your soap boxes selling on wholesale, or have your outlets the packaging is paramount for the success of a company.
