Chinese Food Boxes were invented in 1894

It goes back to November 13, 1894, in Chicago, when an inventor named Fredrick Week Wilcox applied for the patent for these boxes, he called "paper pail." It was basically a single sheet of paper folded into a leak-proof container.
The term paper pail never caught on and they are called the humble old Chinese food boxes. The shape of these boxes was inspired by little wooden pails used to carry uncooked oysters back in the 19th century.

A custom cereal Packaging box is a pretty nifty piece of design. It is ingeniously cut out from a single sheet of paper. It is then folded up into an attractive container shape and does not allow liquids to seep out from the sides.

Most people who look at it or get their orders in it, do not realize this benefit factor and get emotionally attached to it after exclaiming “what a great package” or something similar. It is a great work of paper art or actually origami but alas many people do not give it a second thought.
